Full moon

** This is dedicated to Rylie, once I read her story (what she'd given me) it popped into my head. Cheers and good writing doll! **

A crystal clear night, the moon hangs full overhead
The city is buzzing with people going places
I take my turn, down the dark alleyway
No light reaches here, I quicken my step..

A scratching sound, my heart leaps high
Glancing back, nothing but a flyer floating by
Walk faster, keys in hand, head down low
Need to reach home, something's not right..

Heavy breathing, so very close
Spinning, nothing, my blood is pumping
Running now, need to get away
Don't want to be here... too late..

Hit the ground, pain spiralling out
Vision blurring, thoughts fading
A great weight, hard to breath
Sudden agony, warm wetness coating my neck..

A growl, something moving, shifting
Ribs snap, sight fading in the pain
Foul heat upon my neck, turn my head
It's out of a nightmare that which sits on my back..

I'm dreaming, something straight out of a movie
Bad sushi, taking it's revenge, dumping me here
I'll wake soon, all will be right once more
A voice speaks nearby, my world goes blissfully dark now..

A tug, a murmur, the pain returns, not a dream
Opening my eyes I see a man, gorgeous to the extreme
What happens next changes everything
Welcome to the dark, the night, my world..

The scents, the rythyms of movement
I feel the heartbeat of both human and city
I have strength, I have a very dark gift
For I am now and always will be - the beast.
