One world ends, we build anew
So far from what we've known
Fresh and clean, here we are
A brave new life, with those we love
War ended it all, friends and family gone
Peace is what we strive towards now
Those who survived must get past it all
To reach that point, as life goes on...
A whole new world, challenges galor
New and old, blend together in harmony
Giving us what we all need to continue
Forging ahead is what must be done
To get beyond the horror of the past
Creating a bright new future is needed
Having children, building our lives
A continuous struggle, as life goes on...
Planting crops, selling our wares
Build our homes, tall and proud
Made of wood, stone and mortar
We fill them with laughter and love
The sounds of life makes it all real
Our people have survived, beyond belief
We steady ourselves and continue onward
For what other choice do we have, as life goes on...
