Snippet - 2nd Edition

Managed another 1,900+ words today and because I'm in a reasonably good mood I'm sticking up a little more just for Rylie, cause I know you're watching my count - lol! ;) Course, unlike my good buddy, I have a full time job that is seriously interfering with my writing time and beginning to royally piss me off. Do you know I put in nine hours of O/T last week alone? That was nine (yes 9) hours of perfectly good writing time. *sighs* Oh well, I'm working through it and I have a plan... that I'm not sharing just fyi! LOL! So, here it is, the latest little chunk of something from tonight, hope ya like it...

First thing in the morning he was out and looking for what he needed to prove his point to Randi. He found just what he wanted not far from his temporary home, unfortunately there were too many for him to be able to run a snatch and grab or even have a pray in a battle with keeping one alive. So he waited, following them as they moved along in their unique manner, seeming to glide while as the same time moving in a threatening manner. The part that creeped him out was that they all seemed to walk at the same angle, giving the appearance that they were moving at a forty-five degree angle across the pavement. They weren't, it was just the way they held their bodies, their stronger right arm held further back, hand always curled at the ready to swipe the long six inch claws across their foe or their dinner, which ever it was.

They were easy enough to pick out of a crowd, appearing to be goths by their black clothing, the large and heavy boots with the chains draped all over their bodies. The only thing that proved them not to be true Goth was the blond hair with the single red stripe down the right side mid-way back on their heads. That and the deeply tanned skin, well the six inch claws on the right hand were a good give away as was the pale, pale blue eyes almost completely colorless from the transformation by their masters. Frowning as he moved along he nearly missed them splitting off into groups, four going one way, six another and the last two heading yet another. And so it was the twosome that he followed after, he'd killed one outright and the other he'd stun with the tazer until he could get the special shackles onto him to prevent him from killing anyone, mainly himself Chase thought with a snort.

Following after them he breathed in and out as he went through the fight in his mind, picturing it and playing it all out as to how it had to happen. Hollow point to the first brain, shock the second and stab the first with the blessed blade through his heart and then turn and cuff the second one. They'll both be down and out of commission, perform the rites on the first to free his tortured soul and let him die in peace. Pull out the blade, pour on the lighter fluid and torch him, body will go up in less then ten seconds not a trace left not even a burn mark. Pick up the second one and hustle him over to the warehouse he'd rented and stash him until he had Randi with him. Sounded simple enough, but to put it into action... Looked like it was show time Chase smiled coldly as he followed them into the alley and began to move quickly, now or never...
